Essential Leg Day Workout

These 10 Leg Day Exercises Will Help You Get the Most Out of Your Lower Body Workout...Let's Go!!

This is not your simple leg day workout but then again, who wants simple legs?!

Leg day is essential for having a symmetrical, attractive figure. You don’t want to be known as the guy in the gym who skips leg day, right? Follow this leg workout to bulk up your lower body and train like a pro!

1. Superset

  • Jump Squats: 4 sets of 25 reps
  • Seated Leg extensions: 4 sets of 25 reps

2. Barbell Squat (narrow stance)

  • 4 sets as follows:
    • 5 reps
    • 5 reps
    • 3 reps
    • 1 rep
    • 3 reps
    • 5 reps
    • 5 reps

3. Sumo Deadlifts

  • 3 sets of 10 reps

4. Seated leg press 

  • 4 sets as follows: 
    • 50 reps
    • 25 reps (increase weight)
    • 25 reps 
    • 50 reps (at least 20lbs. heavier than starting weight)

5. Donkey calf raise

  • 8 sets as follows: (gradually increase weight with each working set)
    • 40 reps
    • 40 reps
    • 30 reps
    • 30 reps
    • 20 reps
    • 20 reps
    • 10 reps
    • 10 reps

6. Seated single leg calf raises

  • 4 sets of 10 reps
Cool down:
  • Banded donkey kicks: 3 sets of 20 reps
  • Banded fire hydrants: 3 sets of 20 reps
  • Jump rope: 3 rounds for 1min each round
